Reflected entropy: Not a correlation measure

چکیده
For a quantum state of two coupled physical systems, correlation measure is quantity that measures how much each system knows about the other. Here, authors show known as ``reflected entropy'' not measure, by constructing states on three systems for which reflected entropy increases when one discarded.

nonfreeness: an entropy measure of electron correlation
“Nonfreeness” is the (negative of the) difference between the von Neumann entropies of a given many-fermion state and the free state that has the same 1-particle statistics. It also equals the relative entropy of the two states in question, i.e., it is the entropy of the given state relative to the corresponding free state. The nonfreeness of a pure state is the same as its “particle-hole symme...
متن کاملGaussian Network's Dynamics Reflected into Geometric Entropy
We consider a geometric entropy as a measure of complexity for Gaussian networks, namely networks having Gaussian random variables sitting on vertices and their correlations as weighted links. We then show how the network dynamics described by the well-known Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process reflects into such a measure. We unveil a crossing of the entropy time behaviors between switching on and off l...
متن کاملDeng entropy: a generalized Shannon entropy to measure uncertainty
Shannnon entropy is an efficient tool to measure uncertain information. However, it cannot handle the more uncertain situation when the uncertainty is represented by basic probability assignment (BPA), instead of probability distribution, under the framework of Dempster Shafer evidence theory. To address this issue, a new entropy, named as Deng entropy, is proposed. The proposed Deng entropy is...
متن کاملV-Measure: A Conditional Entropy-Based External Cluster Evaluation Measure
We present V-measure, an external entropybased cluster evaluation measure. Vmeasure provides an elegant solution to many problems that affect previously defined cluster evaluation measures including 1) dependence on clustering algorithm or data set, 2) the “problem of matching”, where the clustering of only a portion of data points are evaluated and 3) accurate evaluation and combination of two...
متن کاملA Distributional Measure of Correlation
Common metrics of correlation are based on the degree to which the value of one random variable can be used to predict the value of another random variable. However, there are forms of correlation that do not lead to a high ability to predict actual values. We identify such a correlation, and suggest it can be measured by a certain monotonicity property among distributions of the dependent vari...
